New program called SecureSend powered by LeapFILE enables members of several state CPA associations to transfer sensitive documents with their clients securely and easily.
Fremont, Calif., July 21, 2008 – LeapFILE, Inc. This program provides a service called SecureSend as a complimentary benefit to association members that enables them to securely and easily transfer confidential files with their clients. Currently, over eight state CPA associations have joined the partnership program, including Maryland, Idaho, Arizona, and Louisiana, and a number of other states have indicated interest in the program.
Transferring files securely and easily is a real need for certified public accountants, because they routinely exchange financial data, audit files, and other sensitive documents with clients. This is often done using email, but due to size limitations, large attachments cannot reach the intended recipients. Also, emails are usually not transmitted securely, so sending files containing sensitive client information puts the CPA and the client at risk. Some have opted to mail CD’s or set up FTP systems, but these methods can be time-consuming, expensive, and very burdensome. SecureSend provides an easy web-based solution to meet this particular need.
